This is an introductory statement.
Both Futurism and Fascism played a key role in the history of Italy’s development. Futurism was a philosophy that encouraged individuals to express themselves and make meaningful choices in clothing. Futurism was about the Italian people being bold, outspoken, and unconventional. Fascism on the other side wanted the elite of society to wear uniforms so they could be proud and the rest of us to look as well. Both ideas have their own unique thoughts but they share some similarities.
Body There are certain aspects that Fascism as Futurism may not agree with. Fascism emphasized the idea that everyone should look the same, and that uniforms were used to distinguish between classes. Mussolini wore a Military uniform even though he wasn’t a soldier. This was something Mussolini did a lot of and he wore many different uniforms to various events in order to appeal to the masses. Fascism was based on the belief that if one dresses like a great hero and carries himself like a great hero, then you are a hero. Futurism, however, focuses on the fact that people should be bold, creative, bright, and different. Futurism was inspired by an artist movement. Futurism wanted people drape their bodies with clothes of the same artistic value. They saw the body and clothes as two separate mediums. This movement was all about modernization, vibrant color and geometry. Inspiration for this movement came from the concept of movement. An artist has created an image in which a dog walks rapidly alongside its owner. The dog is small and has fluffy fur.
The dog’s owner is also shown looking at the woman. The woman is wearing black pants that reach her ankles and black heels. Her feet move quickly, creating multiple visuals where her shoes overlap. These overlaps can be seen by the naked eye as they look very similar to the dog’s legs.
This is one example of Futurism’s inspiration from movement. Balla’s dresses are another example of Futurism fashions. Futurism was created by both designers. These garments are a perfect representation of Futurism fashion. Fascism is a fashion movement that wants everyone to look alike and to identify themselves solely through uniforms. Futurism, on the other hand, wants everyone to be distinctive, loud, bold and artistic.
There are many similarities between Futurism and Fascism. They both play a part, even though it is a small number. Fascist fashions insist that everyone be dressed in uniforms appropriate to their job and they use trinkets (or medallions) to identify which class they are. A person would also know their class based on their profession.
Futurism, on the other hand, wanted students to see how they could alter their clothes and show them how loud. Similarities between them include the way they dress in a certain manner to make an individual feel special. Fascist fashions dictate that heroes must dress and act as heroes, even if they are not.
Futurist fashions state the same thing. These statements both highlight the importance clothes play in people’s lives and attitudes. A woman who wears amazing heels instantly feels confident and ready to conquer the world. She walks taller and is more confident, and she can easily walk down the street. Both movements communicate a certain attitude, which certain garments can give us.
Conclusion. Even though there are some similarities between Futurism and Fascism movements, it’s important to remember the basic idea behind fashion. Garments should reflect the individual wearing them. Garments tell the story of someone’s life. They reveal their wealth, sexual orientation, age and profession. Simmel said that “Fashion is what distinguishes us and gives contrast.”
Fashion in the upper classes differs from fashion in lower classes. We want to mix the uniformity sphere with differentiation.” He basically says that fashion should be created from a combination of ideas from Fascism, Futurism, and other fashion styles. This will create the fashion culture that we see today.
